For our second beach lunch, I made spam musubi, but this time I made the “spam” from scratch with ground pork. I prepped it ahead of time at home, so when it was time to pack our beach lunch, all I had to do was slice it, season it, and make the musubi. . It’s definitely not exactly the same as canned spam, but I love knowing exactly what went into it, and the kids really enjoyed it too ❤️ . . . . ✅Homemade Spam 수제 스팸 . [Ingredients] • 2.5 lbs ground pork • ½ tbsp salt • 1½ tbsp allulose • 3 tbsp potato starch • 3 tbsp minced garlic • ½ cup water . [Directions] 1. Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl. 2. Mix really well until the pork becomes sticky, soft, and almost paste-like. You want everything to be completely combined. 3. Pack the mixture firmly into heat-safe, steamable containers, pressing it down well so there aren’t large air pockets. 4. Once the water is boiling, place the containers in the steamer. 5. Steam for about 40 minutes, or until the pork is fully cooked through. 6. Let it cool before removing from the container and slicing. . —-- 🍙Spam Musubi For one chunk of my homemade spam, I used: • 2 tbsp soy sauce • 1 tbsp allulose . -Slice the spam, coat it with the soy sauce and allulose, then cook it in a pan until nicely browned and glazed. Add it to rice and wrap with seaweed to make your musubi. . —-- ✨Lydia’s Tip • You can make the homemade spam ahead of time and keep it refrigerated for up to 2 days, or freeze it for up to 1 month.
