Hundreds of thousands of people across Hawaiʻi have been without power since last night, myself included. It's 11:31 AM on Sunday, power is still out. I am charging my phone through this portable charger. It's at like 34% because it stopped charging overnight. And, yeah, it's gotten really bad that Hawaiian Electric is reaching out to partner electric utilities on the continental U.S. for help, come here to help. Because it's just people without power. And they're saying that folks in the rural areas of the Big Island are expected to be without power for weeks or months. Just homes that are without power, it's also the traffic lights. So they're telling us to stay indoors and not travel because the lights, because the lights, hopefully the power can come back on, um, many of us have work tomorrow or school this coming week, although I don't think they're gonna be cancelling school or work if the power continues to stay off. *also lots of flood damage and knocked over trees But I'm remaining in the meantime, if you have a power outage, you can report it on the Hawaiian Electric Company website. Over here. Time to bust out the candles. And hopefully this can charge my phone enough and my husband's phone.
