Sixty60 can now do something that I didn't even know was possible. You can now literally send it a photo of your grandmother's handwritten recipe, and it'll work out what ingredients you need and help add them to your basket. And that's just that Sixty60 has built into Pixie, its AI shopping assistant. It now basically lets you chat to Sixty60, so you can type in what you need, you can send it a voice note, you can even upload a photo. So for example, you can snap a picture of your razor and Pixie will help you find the right blades. If you ask it what you should make for dinner, it'll suggest recipes based on your preferences, the time of day, and even the weather. And because it learns from how you shop, the recommendations become more personalized the more you use it. And I'll tell you what, Pixie's new features are being soft launched while Sixty60 is well out in front, and one number that shows that best: R25.5 billion. That's how much Sixty60 did in sales over this past year, a whopping 34.5% in growth. So no, Pixie isn't really about Sixty60 trying to catch up, it's now trying to push its lead even further, making it easier not just to get your groceries, but to figure out what you actually need in the first place.
