Great wedding question. Let's talk about it. My venue had a limit of 140 people seated, but I have about 163 people on my first round guest list. Do you think I could invite everyone? I keep hearing that 10-20 percent RSVP no, usually. Would love your expert advice on this. My expert advice would be to invite 140 people. And I know it is very normal that 10 to 15 percent will RSVP no. However, you cannot guarantee that. Like, imagine if every single person said yes, and then you are faced with the decision of, oh, I got to squeeze 23 extra people then they're supposed to be in here. Then your guests are going to be more uncomfortable or maybe the venue will say no, you can't have those people in here. Then you have to decide on 23 people to kick out to the curb. So just do yourself a favor. Minimize your guest list down to 140 and invite 140. You never know how people are going to respond. I mean, you can always chance it, but there's also a chance that everybody says yes. And then you'll find yourself in a more stressful predicament than you need to be in.
