I wanna talk about my favourite pregnancy timeline, which is July to April. I have done it twice now and I am currently pregnant with baby number three in a completely different timeline and I'm hating it. And I'm going to tell you why. July to April is the best right now. Now I got pregnant in May and I'm due at the end of January and I hate it. I think there are going to be some good things about it, but so far I just miss my July to April timeline. When you get pregnant in July, you don't find out until August, and then you're not drinking. You can't drink from August to April. Which, by the way, I'm not even that big of a drinker, so I'm not trying to like, sound like an alcoholic over here, but when do I want to drink? June and July. May, June and July. Like my evening glass of wine, winery with the girls in the summer. Like my margarita with dinner, my truly lemonade down on the back porch. Like, that's when I want to drink. I don't care if I can't drink from August to April. I'm not drinking in the winter anyway. Like, it's a little bit bummer over maybe Christmas and New Years, but like, you get over it. It's fine. I'd love being pregnant in the winter. So far, being pregnant in the summer has been the worst thing ever. June is actually my favorite month of the year. So a lot of this is amazing. I'm a summer girl, I love summer, and I have been in the throes of first trimester misery for all of June and all of July and when it was my other timeline, then you're in the first trimester in the fall, which also sucks, but like, there's never a good time to be in the first trimester. But like, missing out on June really also made me sad, also made me sad on top of also being sick and exhausted and then giving birth in April is my favorite because one if you get the baby blues, get postpartum depression, anything like that, like I do. It's the best time of year where it's getting lighter and staying lighter a lot later, so those sundown scaries are not quite as scary. You can go out with your baby. Like, every single day. I'm going on walks with my baby and it's that time. Like, spring is such a beautiful time of year, even when you don't have a newborn. You have these, like, amazingly beautiful warm days, and it's still cold a little bit here and there, but then when you get a nice, warm, sunny day, it's like the best feeling of all time. And then just take your newborn out on walks. It's not sick season, so you're not worried about people coming to visit your. I mean, people can still be sick. But like, it's not that bad. And now doing January, it's quite the opposite. January and February are my least favorite months of the year. Like, just so dark, so cold, so miserable, so depressing. And then I have to have a newborn and have the sundown scaries and have the baby blues on top of all of that. I know it's probably nice to, like, for me, with both of my newborns, I like getting out of the house and, like, trying to get back into my normal routine quickly ish. Of course, give yourself grace. But like, just the idea of having to do that in February when, like, I don't wanna go out of the house and, like, people are sick and the flu is going around and it's just dark and depressing anyway, and then I'm also going to be depressed. If you have anything positive to say about a January birth, please let me know. And if you are due in April, which I don't know that you would know that yet, just count your blessings.
