If I get to 60, I'd like diamonds in it, and they've given me some sparkles. For six decades, June Groves has been a fixture at Coles. What started as a part-time job to help buy a house, turning into a life-long career. 60 years later, we have got the house and I'm still here. The great grandmother working for 40 years at Gatton and the last 20 here in Burpengary. Technology's not the only thing that's changed over that time. The women were on male rates. If you worked on the checkouts and you probably got $30 a week. For 44 of those years, June worked with her twin sister. Many customers confused by the double act. Even their state boss. Gee you've got a terrific office girl he said. She's in the office, then she's down at the deli helping down there. Fittingly, to mark her 60th anniversary, June received the traditional present. I did mention to them when I did 55. If I get to 60, I'd like diamonds in it, and they've given me some sparkles for all the sparkle she's brought to her job and doesn't plan to stop any time soon. I think I just keep working as long as I could, really. So I think if you're happy in your job, you'll just keep going.
