I don't want to share only the wins and good parts of freelancing. I want to share the reality of it, too. Yesterday, my client let me know that our contract will be ending next week. For the past 8 months, we tried, tested, adjusted, and explored different strategies to get results. But despite all the effort, we still weren't getting the results we were hoping for. At one point, I was even tempted to resign because I started feeling guilty receiving my salary when I felt like I wasn't giving him the results he deserved. But I'm actually glad I didn't. Instead, I exhausted all the things I could do, kept trying different approaches, and waited for him to make the final decision. And when he finally did, I realized I had no reason to feel guilty. He was incredibly gentle and kind throughout our 8 months together. He paid well, always paid on time, never ghosted me, and even gave me a one-week notice so I had time to prepare. He didn't blame me. He didn't make the ending ugly. Sometimes, you can genuinely give your best, try everything you can, and still not get the results you hoped for. That's freelancing. Not every client will stay forever. Not every project will work out. But every experience teaches you something. So I'll take everything I learned from these 8 months and move forward with more experience, more confidence, and a better understanding of what I can bring to the table. I'll keep sharing the wins. But I'll share the losses, too. Because this is freelancing, realistically. #freelancing #workfromhome #workfromhomejobs #onlinejobs #remotework
