In Lick Pic (2026), artists Yehwan Song and Sarah Friend created four mechanical tongues that continuously interact with smartphones and tablets. The installation connects directly to activity on the digital marketplace Objkt: when activity occurs, images from the Museum of the Moving Image’s collection change, while the machines physically interact with the screens. It turns an everyday relationship with technology into something deliberately strange questioning screen dependence, desire, ownership and the way we value digital images. Presented at the Museum of the Moving Image, New York, as part of the MoMI × Tezos Foundation program. Museum of the Moving Image #art #avantgarde #artist #weird #niche
