Artist Iuliia Goncharova @Gorivna creates ceramic sculptures that combine traditional handcraft with movement, mechanisms and interactive technology. At first, her sculptures can appear completely still. But hidden inside the ceramic bodies are wires, mechanical components and moving elements that allow parts of the sculpture to suddenly react. In this work, the mechanism controls a pair of eyes concealed inside the ceramic form. Their movement gives an otherwise static object an unexpected sense of awareness, almost as if the sculpture were observing its surroundings. #artist #art #design #niche #avantgarde
