Oh, we had to call the cops last night because my neighbor. So hear this. While it was pouring rain yesterday, somebody alarm started going off. So hear this. While it was pouring rain yesterday, somebody alarm started going off. And this isn't the first time. It happened. Couple days ago. And for me, I jump up. Every time I hear a noise, I jump. I'm very hyper aware. My sense of sound is very striking. So anytime I hear something unusual, you hear that? Or even the car screeching, hauling on brakes. For me, it just interrupts everything about me. So, okay, boom. Two days ago, the alarm was just going off and off and off and off. And I'm like, how did neighbors, they don't even hear this. So we turn on the AC. We're right by the, like, the window, turn on the AC so we could take out that noise, and it was still so very loud. And I told my husband, I'm traumatized with the sound of alarms going off. Like, is there a fire? Are they, you know, like, what's happening? So we're. We're searching, we're like, okay, it's not coming from their house, but it's coming from the backyard, and it's just beaming. Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. That went on for four hours. That went on for four hours. Boom. It's time for me to come to bed. Windows down, AC on. It's so loud. So loud. I couldn't do it anymore. My husband came in the room. I'm like, I can't sleep. He's gonna go in the backyard and check. He sent me a video, and he said, yes, it's coming from the neighbor's backyard. Like, oh, my god. So he came upstairs, and he was like, let's do it. I said, what? He said, let's call the cops. I said, oh, my gosh, why? Uh, they're gonna ask me a bunch of questions, like, I don't know. There's some reason I don't want to. You can't sleep and stuff. Let's do it. This is the time. You are right. It's a noise disruption in the neighborhood, so, yeah, I should. So I dialed 911. I called him. I said, what's your emergency? I said, hello, um, I'm just calling. I don't know if this is an emergency, but my neighbor's fire alarm has been going off, and it's not coming from their house, but it's coming from the backyard, and it's really loud, and it's disrupting all of us from sleeping. And I mind you, this call is happening at, like, 1:00 AM. So she was like, okay, what's your county? And I gave her, and she was like, okay, um, since it's not a super emergency, I will give you this number, you call them, and they will arrive within a second. I said, boom, thank you so much. She said, thank you, and if anything changes, just call me back. I said, oh, great, thanks. Like we're like girly girls. Anyway, I hung up, called, and the police was like, what's the emergency? And I said, there has been a fire alarm. And, you know, explain. He said, okay, I gave the address, and they came within One minute. Amazing. They flash the light, I'm sticking my head out the window, like, hello, sir. He's like, it's your alarm. I was like, no, but I made the call, and he was like, okay, I hear it. It's very loud. I said, imagine what we have to, like, try to sleep with. So he searched and searched. It took him about 15 minutes to locate exactly where it is. He picked it up. Mind you, it was raining. Picked it up, dash it on the ground and step on it, and the alarm went. I looked down at him, I said, thank you so much. And that was that. And then I hugged my husband. I said, thank you for encouraging me to call, because I wouldn't. I would probably, like, let it just be and try to sleep with that. But he was like, there's a problem. There's always a solution. That's what happened. And I slept peacefully. Oh, it was amazing. The rain, the window, the wind was so cool. So this is something that I learned that I'm gonna tell you. When you throw away a fire alarm, make sure you remove the battery before you toss it. Or, like, break it. Break it like it broke your heart. Break it, and then throw it in the trash, because that's gonna happen. Is gonna get triggered by the rain. Yeah, that was that.
