Delta and American Express are planning a new mega premium card one step higher than the Reserve with a rumored price tag of $1,000 a year or more is there a world where you would actually pay this? there is a world where I actually would as of right now the Reserve card is as premium as it gets with an annual fee of dollars $650 and some notable perks like an annual companion certificate 200 bucks to Delta stays limited number of visits to the Sky Club and status boost but no actual status there are two things that would make me consider a $1000 annual fee automatic gold status get you Sky priority benefits seat selection and lounge access on partner airlines when flying overseas the other Sky Club with no limit on visits and guest granted this is just my personal wish list and the realistic new benefits will probably be something like a $500 doll Home Depot gift certifica te that can only be used in dollar increments if the Braves win a World Series on a rainy day and your mother's maiden name ends in a vowel It'll be interesting to see what these massive updates coming to the Platinum and Business Platinum card are later this year because that will be indicative of what's coming from Delta We all have a feeling it's much higher fees and more coupons could you pay a grand for card? what would it take? let me know and follow travel daddy Dave
