I couldn't believe it when I first saw it. But then I checked the original sources and it appears to be true. And oh my, this is insane, dude. Sony is sending out emails updating and reminding people of their PlayStation terms. And some of the terms are: You don't own your digital games, you rent a license. If an account closed or banned, your games are gone, even paid ones. PlayStation can record your chats, clips, IP address. Clips you share, they can sell and put ads on and you get no cut. Here it is if you use their services to create content, you grant SIE a royalty-free, perpetual, global license to use, distribute, copy, modify, display, and publish your UGC for any reason, without further notice or payment to you or any third parties. And the last one is the most diabolical. Their liability is capped at £100. I could only find it in the terms for the UK specifically. This means if they screw up somehow and you lose money, the max they can give you back is £100. What are they doing, man?
