UPDATE: Adopted ❤️ *WILL BE EUTHANIZED* Please don’t scroll past this meatball 😭 He’s a large, black pitbull/staffy with just about every odd stacked against him. this is our sweet Buccaneer, and he’s currently scheduled for euthanasia at the Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California. Buccaneer is 3 years old and 90 pounds. He was found wandering the streets in Torrance and was brought to the shelter, but sadly, no one ever came to claim him. He hasn’t been officially dog assessed yet, so we can’t say for sure how he would do with other pets in the home. While I had him out, though, he showed zero reactivity walking past other dogs. He’d even walk up to their kennels, wag his tail, and try to say hi. Buccaneer is a little shy and timid, but he’s incredibly mellow. He would benefit from an experienced, patient dog owner who can give him time to decompress and help build his confidence. I think he’d make the perfect couch potato buddy 🥺 .
