Amex Platinum. S tier is what I would say if I was performative. This is actually D tier. 895 a year now. They just jacked up the fee $200. The lounges are elite, but are often too crowded to even get in. And if you're not flying through a major hub with one, you're paying premium prices for a card you'll barely use. Apple Card. D tier. 0 annual fee, but there's no sign up bonus, no travel perks, and you only get 3% back on Apple approved merchants. Everything else is 1%, which is nothing. Discover Card. A tier. No annual fee, easy approval, and 5% cash back on rotating categories. Still one of the best first cards you can get. Robinhood Gold Card. S tier. No annual fee on the card itself, but you need a Robinhood Gold membership. In exchange you get 3% cash back on literally everything. Spend 1700 dollars a year and the membership pays for itself in rewards. This is one of the highest flat cash back rates on the market right now. Capital One Venture X. S tier. 395 a year, but you get $300 in travel credit, 10,000 bonus miles every single year, lounge access, and 2x miles on everything. After the credits you're basically paying $95 for a premium travel card.
