artist Miya Turnbull explores identity and self-perception through handmade masks, sculpture, photography and performance. Her masks reproduce fragments of the human face eyes, mouths, noses and skin which she cuts, folds, rearranges and layers into constantly changing portraits. In this self-portrait experiment, Turnbull divides her own face into movable sections, allowing different expressions and versions of herself to be recombined like a puzzle. #weird #niche #art #artist #avantgarde
