My babies being autistic will never mean they are less loved, less capable, or less worthy. 🤍 They may experience this world differently. They may notice things others overlook, find joy in things others may not understand, communicate in their own ways, need extra patience or quiet, and sometimes feel sounds, lights, changes, and emotions more intensely. But different has never meant less. Psalm 139:14 says, “I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” And when I look at my babies, I see exactly that. Fearfully. Wonderfully. Intentionally made. 🤍 Their autism is a part of who they are, but it will never define everything they are capable of becoming. I never want them to grow up believing they have to change who they are just to make the world around them more comfortable. I want them to know there will always be a place with me where they never have to pretend. A place where their excitement is celebrated. Where their need for space is respected. Where their communication is met with patience and understanding. Where their strengths are recognized, while their struggles are never dismissed. And when this world becomes too loud, too bright, too fast, or simply too overwhelming, I hope they always know they never have to face those moments alone. Mama and Dada will be right there. 🤍 We will learn their world. We will advocate for them. We will protect them. We will celebrate every little victory. And we will remind them over and over again that there is absolutely nothing about them that makes them less worthy of love. My babies are more than a diagnosis. They are two beautiful little souls with their own strengths, needs, personalities, passions, gifts, and ways of experiencing this world. And I truly believe God knew exactly what He was doing when He made them. Fully known. Fully loved. Fully worthy. Fearfully and wonderfully made. 🤍 #AutismMom #AutismAcceptance #AutismAwareness #Neurodivergent #DifferentNotLess @GimmeDahLou
