Malaysia became the hottest target for big Chinese brands. Malaysia became the hottest target for big Chinese brands, but it's not because we're now the thing. The headline says Malaysia is now the new hotspot for Chinese brands to come into, especially expanding overseas. But the real story is one called, everybody thinks, free hold. Everybody thinks these brands pick Malaysia so powerful and good. We actually don't. People assume because our FDI is climbing, because of our great economy or our strong economy. It technically makes sense on paper, but GDP up, export up, everything looks like a win. But the real picture is much, much different. Now restaurants, profits in Beijing almost dropped 90% in a single year. And not just that, these brands didn't choose, they liked us. They ran here because their old market started collapsing in China. All land belongs to the government and no freehold. You buy a shop, you're still renting from the state. Even a 70-year lease is huge. Here it's different. You can buy the land, hold it forever, your name on the title for. For a big brand trying to move fast, that's not just a small perk. That's a complete shortcut straight through. One Chinese FNB chain reportedly recover over 1 million Malaysian ringgit in just the land investment alone from a single KL outlet in just nine months. But when big brands move, who's actually absorbing the pressure? Our small businesses. Margins already thin, platform fees already climbing, forced to compete with brands that are already making money elsewhere and can afford to burn cash here and compete on cheap price. If this pattern runs unchecked, other industries will start to feel too, not just FNB. If you run your own shop, the real question isn't big brand reaches your industry. The real question is what you've done before, or what are you doing before that day comes. Mark this, the approval sign decides who survive the next five years from now, not who work hardest. But when GDP rise on the street or near your, shuts down anyway, you need to ask yourself. When we say Malaysia, who is it winning for? Is it for the shop near you or is it for the oversea competition coming in? Save this. The shop near you becomes the next one.
