I say I am not kidding when I say that Metro 2039 is the most impressive game I have played all year. And 4A Games did sponsor this video, but I would say the exact same thing if this was sponsored. The moment of walking out into the surface absolutely shocking. I honestly don't know if I've seen a game look this good ever. And everything is insanely detailed from the outside environments to the countless explorable and building and even the central hub within the Metro. All of it feels either lived in, in the case of the surface, or abandoned and worn out by the environment for years in the case of the surface. As far as gameplay goes, there's some really cool like mechanics like the ability to take off your backpack and craft items or even customize weapon builds in real time. And speaking of weapons, the multiple guns I used feel great. They pack a punch and are very satisfying to use. And with missions, I had one main mission which was to make it to a military base, but I had optional side missions that involved clearing out buildings on the way to not only complete various make the surface overall safer for my comrades. There's also cool night vision gadgets you can use without a flashlight. I knew this game would be good given previous Metro games, but they can keep this pace and quality up for the whole game, it might actually have game of the year potential.
