MOURNING NEPAL'S LOSS

Bangladesh’s National Parliament has expressed profound shock and sorrow over the lives lost in Nepal’s devastating floods and landslides. Nepal’s victims were included in a broader condolence motion unanimously adopted by the House on Thursday, August 27. Following the adoption of the motion, lawmakers observed a one-minute silence in memory of all those included in the condolence motion, followed by prayers for the departed. Separately, Bangladesh’s Speaker also expressed deep sympathy to families who lost loved ones in Nepal’s disaster.
