You should not be writing code manually

I'm a software engineer and interviewer at Amazon. And the only reason that you should be writing code manually is for interviews. Nothing else. In your development workflows, all of the code should be written by AI. You will never be more efficient at writing code than these agents are. They are way faster. Even at Amazon, I am not writing code manually. All of my code is written by AI. I'm still reviewing the code, obviously, because as an engineer, you still own the software. AI is just helping you write the code. You only need it for interviews. Not that I agree with the current interview process. I think that will change too in the coming years. But for the time being, to be writing manual code is in an interview setting.
