We discovered our diesel tank was leaking everywhere when we got stuck in a freak snowstorm. Tried to turn on the heater, but then we discovered it wasn't working. And the leak was the reason why. It ended up having to leave the campsite for the night because it was so cold. These nails are not like they're flat type, they're still sharp. And it drilled a hole in the side of the diesel can. When I took the truck camper into the shop, they told me that the diesel can was a custom fit, so it would be like $600 to replace it. My dad was positive he could fix it with this SteelStik. Even says right on the packaging it's for fuel tanks. Because it was such a small hole, we decided to give this a go before we spent the $600. My dad had to add the tape so we had that extra clean aesthetic. It's basically like a putty, so you just mold it together till it's a uniform color. Two different colors cause a chain reaction that hardens. And we just spread it on there. My dad had to add the tape so we had that extra clean aesthetic. Now we just have to wait 60 minutes and it should be good to go. This was the final product. 60 minutes later, just listen. Listen, you can hear how hard these patches are. Hopefully, this fix holds up. My dad cut the tips off these screws, so now we can screw them back in here and hopefully it won't scratch this more.
