“Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro” standout Allen Genkin shocked fans when he was suddenly eliminated from the show this week. Now that he’s back from Australia, the pro dancer is spilling all the tea from his experience. What does he think of all the comparisons to the OG “DWTS?” Does he believe Natalie was being too dramatic after suffering a concussion? Why did working with Derek Hough scare him? Product placement

Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro (DWTS): A reality competition show where professional dancers compete. It ACTS as the context for the video's discussion, and its removal would change the video's topic. MCM: A brand name visible on the creator's shirt. It merely APPEARS and removing it would not change what happens in the video. The Mindfire Pod: A podcast series. It ACTS as the platform for the interview, and removing it would change the video's context. Fire Chats with Carrie Berk: A segment of the podcast. It ACTS as the specific interview series, and removing it would change the video's context. Carrie Berk: The host of the podcast segment. She ACTS as the interviewer, and removing her name would change the video's context. YouTube: A video-sharing platform. It ACTS as the destination for the full interview, and removing it would change the video's context.

I have read some stuff, you know, in regards to just the show in general, comparing it to "Dancing With the Stars," the main show, things I've heard even before the show aired about my fellow contestants and my fellow teammates and my fellow teammates. And it really did pick me the wrong way. People didn't give it a chance. What happened to Natalie? I've seen a lot of pretty brutal comments on social media saying that she was too dramatic. I think she had a concussion. People can say whatever they want. I know Nat. She would never back out like that. Now, I'm trying to get up and I keep slipping back. I was reading some of the comments, and they were saying, "Allen was shook." Allen was shook. I wasn't shook. I was angry. Were you surprised by the judges' reaction to the slip, especially considering that's part of the reason why Briar went home in the first episode? We had a long dance and the rest of it looked pretty strong. I think the recovery was just as important. Adele is special, something special. We have such a beautiful, close-knit connection after that. You were very transparent about the role that your mom played in your dance career. I did feel she kind of gave Adele to me at the perfect moment. As the group stage started, I think that's where things kind of started going left.
