There are certain things you learn as a parent that nobody can prepare you for. Like the fact that your child can look you directly in the eye, hold something that is very obviously slime, and confidently explain that it’s actually “soap.” And for a brief moment… you almost question yourself. Parenting is just a series of tiny negotiations with people who have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about but somehow argue their case with the confidence of a lawyer.
