If you're a black man and your haircut never hits the way you wanted to, your routine before the barber might be the problem. So let me show you my haircut routine. First, I flex a little bit. Then I use shampoo to get rid of product, sweat and build up sitting on my hair and scalp. And now we're going to rinse it off. And then I shampoo it once again, and you can tell I've done it now it's lathering properly, right? And here's where your hair is actually going to get clean. Move on to the conditioner. It's going to put more moisture back into the hair and then it helps keep it soft and easier to manage. Then I add in conditioner. Keeps my hair moisturised and makes it easier to comb and shape. At the barbers, I keep it simple. I recently did cut my afro, sticking to the low-mid taper. I keep the top natural with a tapered beard. I also get the beard to help frame my face better. When you get out of that chair, you should be feeling yourself. Find a barber who actually understands and respects your hair. And after the cut, we use the Twist King to bring out the texture. Save this routine for more 💈 AND CHEERS. Now we're feeling like that guy.
