When Google launched their first ever phone, the Google Pixel 1, they made a pretty insane promise. Anybody who owns this original Pixel that they can have unlimited Google Photos storage at full resolution. And the crazy part is they're still keeping their promise till today. And so what people are doing now is they're going on the internet and buying old Pixels and basically using them as their unlimited Google Photos storage rig. As you can see right here. Now I wanted to see if this would actually work or not. And so I actually went on eBay, bought this phone. If you don't remember, now I have a Google Pixel 1. So basically what I did is I set up the phone very first and then I added my Google account onto it and got everything set up. So once I connected it to an existing account, I actually did say that I had a limit right here that said 15 gigabytes. But there's one catch with this system. It has to be uploaded from the Pixel 1, or else it won't count. I downloaded this app called Sync and this will automatically sync through Wi-Fi all the photos from this phone into the files of this phone. Automatically files into cloud, giving me unlimited cloud unlimited storage. And it still says I have a limit in the settings now, even though it said unlimited earlier. But every time I'll upload new footage onto here, the percent doesn't go up. The percent doesn't go up.
