A good travel partner should pass 3 tests: - can walk 20,000 steps - can get ready in 20 min - can eat wherever you eat. Everything else is just details. Unfortunately, you and I can't travel together if you don't pass these three tests. Number one, you have to be able to walk 20,000 plus steps in one day and not complain and just keep it going. Number two, you got to be able to get ready in under 20 minutes because you never know what might be late for a reservation or something or for a tour or whatever. And we're on the other side of the world, I'm not going to miss the entry to the museum or like this rooftop or whatever because you want to take four hours to get ready in Spain. It's not going to happen. And number three, you got to be able to eat anywhere realistically, and it doesn't matter whether it's a hole in the wall, whether the food is expensive, whether it's cheap, it doesn't matter, right? You get accustomed to the vibes and the culture, because at the end of the day, everything else aside from that is all in the details when it comes to traveling, right? I like mixing a little bit of everything, right? I like culture, I like exploring new places, I like actually having conversations with people that are local and just like if they invite me to a coffee and like a random, you know, hole in the wall and the chairs are plastic, then that's the vibe, you know? I'm not going to complain that we're not in the Dior cafe or whatever, right? Like it's it's just like that's really what traveling is like. So those three things are things that I absolutely need from any travel partner to actually be able to travel with them. Because especially when you're roaming in Europe or something like that, these are literally the three things that you kind of almost need, right? Sometimes you're out all day, right? Roaming Europe, whatever, you go in a restaurant here, you go in another one, you try a drink here, you try a drink there, right? And then you're also just walking everywhere, so that's where the 20,000 steps come in. And then thirdly, getting ready under 20 minutes is very important. I'm not saying this is going to happen every time and that you have to also do this, but there's just simply times that you just don't have the time to afford to just spend four hours getting ready, right? Because you spend all day exploring the city, right? You're going to miss the sunset, you got to go to a rooftop, you got to walk there, whatever, and it's like I'm on I'm on travel vacation vibes, right? I don't want to be anywhere in the hotel or Airbnb longer than an hour or longer if it's just to go to sleep or just recharge, because I have a whole city to explore. So these three things are key when it comes to having an efficient travel partner, because if not, you're literally just going to waste the day in the hotel waiting for someone to get ready for five hours because apparently like that's just what it takes, which is crazy. Sometimes you just got to get with it, keep it going, eat here, eat there, and then just walk the 20 steps and actually enjoy the culture and just vibe with the environment that you're in, and that's how you actually have a solid trip.
