People are always asking me, how do you capture these shots when you're traveling by yourself? Who's recording you? And most of the times, the answer is literally no one. It's just this camera right here. This is the Insta360 X5 and not a lot of people know how to use it and that's exactly why it's my go-to secret weapon when it comes to creating content on the go. Let's just put it this way, this is my go-to camera when I only get one shot at trying to record something. So whether I'm crossing a river, whether I'm on a zip line, whether I'm jumping off a cliff, or I'm just doing anything that I probably don't want to do again, this is your best friend. And you're probably asking yourself, why is that? And the answer is that you're not locked into a single angle when you're recording. So pretty much how it works is that it has two lenses, one in the front and one in the back. That means that I'm not worried about, did I get the shot in the moment? I'm basically just recording and I actually get to decide the framing in the editing later. Now here's the part that a lot of people don't know. So you can actually put this on a selfie stick and the camera actually edits the stick out of the shot automatically. So it pretty much looks like the camera is floating and following you, basically like a drone. But if you look closely, it's just me holding it on a selfie stick. And you actually don't have to do anything in post. It literally just disappears on its own. And there's actually a 3-meter version of the selfie stick, which is massive. And this is how you're able to recreate those fake looking drone shots in places that maybe it's not allowed to fly or you're in a tight situation where you probably can't fly the drone. Another thing people sleep on is the fact that it makes repurposing your clips extremely easy. You can actually record one time and pull the clip in 9:16 for TikTok and Instagram Reels, and at the same time you can just reframe the same exact clip in 16:9 for long form like YouTube or any other platform. And this is why I always say it's not about having the best or most expensive camera gear, it's about knowing what to use and when to use it depending on the situation that you're in. So if you've ever looked at videos of other people and it looks like a drone is following them but no one's recording them, they're probably using this camera right here. Now, is this a camera that you need to get for yourself? Well, that really depends on your workflow and what type of content you create and the situations that you're in. But I actually made a full breakdown video of not only this camera, but all of my other cameras that I use every time that I'm solo traveling or just creating content in general. If you want to see the whole breakdown of what camera to use and when to use it, comment down below YT and I'll send you the link so you can decide for yourself.
