Saw this recipe from @Laura Ashley Johnson and immediately knew my family would love this! I used Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits instead of homemade dumplings- recipe below!!! Ingredients: - Avocado spray or oil - Large chuck roast - 3-4 cups beef broth - 1 can beef consume - 1 can cream of mushroom - Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, italian seasoning - 1 box of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuit mix (you will need milk and shredded cheese for this too!) Instructions: - In a large dutch oven, heat some avocado oil to medium-high heat - Pat chuck roast dry, and season generously with salt & pepper - Add chuck roast to dutch oven and sear for about 3 minutes on each side (should have some nice color) - Add in 3 cups beef broth - Add in beef consume - Add in cream of mushroom - Add in garlic powder, onion powder, and italian seasoning - Give it all a good mix - Place lid on the dutch oven - Place dutch oven in the oven at 350 degrees for about 3 hours- you will know it’s done when the roast shreds VERY easily with a fork - Remove roast and place it onto a cutting board - Shred it up, removing all fat - Place what’s remaining in dutch oven on the stove on medium-high heat - While that’s coming to a boil, mix your Cheddar Bay biscuits according to package instructions - Scoop biscuits with a cookie scoop or spoon into small balls - Drop them into the pot- you’re doing it right if the dumpling floats back up to the top! - At this step- you can add the last cup of beef broth if needed - Once all dumplings are in, cover with lid - Lower the heat and let this cook for 10-15 mins, stirring occasionally - Once the dumplings are cooked, add back in the shredded roast - Give it all a really good mix, add a little more fresh cracked pepper, and enjoy! #dumplings #comfortfood #dinnerwithme #Recipe #weeknightdinner
