“Supreme just puts their logo on stuff.” 🗣️ I’m sure that’s a sentence you’ve heard. So if Streetwear is “dead,” why is Supreme still the most relevant Streetwear brand? -The Hypebeast wave of 2015-2019 brought the Supreme box logo in front of almost everyone on Earth. -What we think of as mainstream Streetwear dwindled in popularity from 2020-now. The culture has shifted to the point that the mainstream appreciates vintage, Japanese, and luxury clothing more. So why do we still talk about Supreme? Why does it still sell? -Supreme has a culture of its own. Sure, you could say it lost some of that when it sold to VFCorp in 2020. But they’ve been consistent. They always push more and more prices that feel true to Supreme’s identity. Every season, fashion influencers heavily push Supreme lookbook content because of this. But I want to know what you think.
