🚨This collab would’ve been INSANE. -The spring 2023 balenciaga ready-to-wear collection was already insane. It’s one of the most memorable modern fashion runways, and maybe Demna’s most notable. -But what would’ve made it crazier? A Supreme collab. And that was going to happen. In late March 2023, almost a year after the first S/S23 show was debuted, information & photos came out regarding a cancelled Supreme x Balenciaga collection. It’s unclear whether this would’ve been for the Spring (NYSE) show or the Summer (MUD) show, but it was planned for Balenciaga’s S/S23 RTW collections. -This collaboration would’ve been nothing short of insane. During peak Balenciaga times, a Supreme collab? The designs included box logos thrown on Balenciaga pieces like a snow camo jacket as well as oversized, distressed tees and hoodies. There were both box logos that had “Supreme” and that had “Balenciaga.” It’s believed that the “Supreme” text ones were a part of the collaboration, but the “Balenciaga” ones were not. They both played off fake, incorrectly sized/spaced box logos that have run rampant in the secondhand market. -You know what the pictures of this collaboration tell us? There’s samples out there. Maybe a lot of them…. These will most definitely go for crazy money when a couple of them inevitably hit the market in the future. -Would you have bought, or was this collection better off being cancelled?
