Necrophilia and Death

We all know that necrophilia is bad, and I'm not making this video to try and justify it. But what exactly makes it bad? When we think of necrophilia, we automatically react with disgust. It's a biological reaction, so it's justified. But other than that, why are we so adverse to it? The answer here is consent. A dead person cannot visibly consent, which raises a question: can you really wrong someone who doesn't exist as a conscious person? I think that morality isn't limited to immediate suffering. It's important to respect the interests that someone had while they were alive. Which is why, while I lean left politically, I found that celebratory reactions to a certain individual's passing within my community were to be in poor taste. And I'm not talking about the excess of memes created, I'm talking about the actual celebrations of death, which should never be normalized. I think that as long as this person isn't an absolute monster, and we should try to respect them as much as possible because they cannot stand up for themselves from the grave.
