Worst ways to die: Execution

One of the worst ways you can possibly die is through execution, especially a public one where hundreds or thousands of people are watching you. And really, any form of execution, like a hanging, a beheading, an electric chair, a pyre. People such as yourself may read in history books the grim tales of people getting executed, botched executions, violent tortures. You can even watch it in movies or witness it in documentaries. No one truly understands how extremely humiliating, extremely disturbing, and simply terrifying feeling you can experience from an execution. The most important reason why is that you know in real time that your fate is determined. You're going to die violently. That hundreds of thousands of people are watching you. In real time, some of them might be watching you, hoping you die. Some of them might be people that hate you, enemies of yours that have always wanted to watch you die. Within these groups of people are people that despise you, want you to die, and celebrate at the first opportunity of seeing you die. Hence, you die, and they get more fun out of it. So not only are executions grim, disturbing, they are also in a way predatory. It's the ultimate form of psychological torture. And it's even worse if that execution is botched or in any way shape or form has an error. For example, if you're being executed by axe, the executioner fails to sever your head in the first blow, might take two blows, three blows to sever your head. Or if you're on a pyre and the fire is burning too slow, you get killed by the smoke instead of the fire itself, while still dying from the fire itself. Hence, you die slowly and excruciatingly. So the people that want to watch you die and see you die, will laugh at your suffering. They will get more fun out of it. So not only are executions grim, disturbing, they are also in a way predatory. It's the ultimate form of psychological torture.
