September feels like a reset. Summer is winding down, routines are shifting, and we're heading into the last few months of the year. And maybe there are a few things you've been saying you were going to get around to. Here are 5 things I'd put on every woman's September reset list: 1. Schedule ONE appointment you've been putting off. Annual physical. Mammogram. Dental appointment. Eye exam. That follow-up you keep meaning to make. September goal: Have ONE appointment scheduled by the end of this week. 2. Choose a bedtime you can realistically stick to. Work backward from when vou need to wake up and give yourself the opportunity for 7-9 hours of sleep. It doesn't have to happen perfectly every night. September goal: Aim for your bedtime at least 5 nights a week. 3. Put 2 strength-training sessions on your calendar every week. Not "I need to start working out." Choose the days. Choose the time. Put them on the calendar. If you're already doing more than two, keep going. September goal: 8 strength-training sessions this month. 4. Add protein + fiber to your first meal of the day. You don't need a new diet for September. Start with one meal and make it a little more supportive of what your body needs. Start with one meal. Eggs + berries. Greek yogurt + chia seeds. Oatmeal + Greek yogurt. Keep it simple. September goal: Protein + fiber with your first meal at least 5 days a week. 5. Take ONE thing off your plate. Because a reset shouldn't just be another list of things for you to accomplish. Look at September and ask yourself: What can I say no to, delegate, postpone, or simply stop doing? September goal: Remove ONE thing that doesn't need your time or energy this month. September doesn't have to be the month you finally "get it all together." Let it be the month you get a little more intentional about taking care of yourself. Pick one thing. Start there. Build from it. Save this for your September reset and tell me which one you're starting with. #SelfCare #womenshealth #nursepractitioner
