Not teaching ur kids how to drive is a form of neglect/control

There's a lady on here getting dragged because she said she bought her daughter a new car and she was like, why y'all have kids if y'all can't afford to take care of them? And honestly, I agree, but also I would like to add, I feel like not teaching your child how to drive should be a form of neglect. Like, I have nine siblings and my mom stopped teaching us how to drive after like the first two or three, so the rest of us just never learned how to drive. And when I tell you, that stunted my growth as an adult so much. When I became 18 and I was trying to get an apartment, get a job, get all these different things, I had to Uber and pay like two to three, $400 a week for Ubers because I did not have a car and I didn't know how to drive. When I was in high school, I was working, like I was working hours and hours and hours, but my mom refused to teach me how to drive and she refused to let anybody else use her car to teach me how to drive. So all that money I made in high school just went to waste. Like I could have owned a car by then. And it wasn't until I turned 19 and I put my FAFSA refund down to buy a car and I asked my older sister to teach me, but imagine all that money I spent taking Ubers for all those years. All that money could have went towards a car or like learning how to drive. And now I'm 23 and I finally have my first paid off car and half my sisters still don't know how to drive.
