Am I the only one who's noticed that Burger King never addressed their Burger King crowns being used as a white supremacist dog whistle? Like they have never once put out a statement, never addressed it or anything. But let a black girl say free Palestine and all of a sudden immediately without missing a beat she is fired and they put out a statement that says it does not align with their values. I just think it's very ironic because this has been going on for years. After that white man said the N-word using a Burger King crown, white supremacists literally co-opted their their crown and started using it as a dog whistle, a racist dog whistle against black people. And they never addressed it. They've never put out a statement saying they condemn white supremacy. They've never said oh we condemn racism, it does not align with our values. But apparently saying free Palestine is just going way too far. Like they can excuse racism, but free Palestine is where they draw the line. I can't exactly say I will be boycotting Burger King because I don't eat there anyways, but I just think it's very ironic how they were so quick to put out a statement against this girl, but they never addressed their Burger King hats being used as a white supremacist dog whistle.
