A Certificate of Authenticity for a Certificate of Authenticity?! This might be the first of its kind… 😂 When I created the COA for my original painting, The Golden Hour, it accidentally became an original piece of art in and of itself…. so I decided to make a COA for the COA. So where does the art actually begin and end?! I’ve been thinking a lot about what makes art art, and who decides whether something is art or not. I’ve come to the conclusion that art is not an object… art is a process through which objects can be made and actions can be taken. Sometimes the only difference between an ordinary object and a piece of art is the meaning we decide to give it. Even the most mundane routine can become a work of art through the meaning and intention we choose to give it. So maybe that’s why we call it a “piece” of art, or a “work” of art… the art is the process through which we create and do things… but the things themselves are just a small piece of evidence that art happened. Maybe, in that sense, we are all artists if we choose to be, because anything can become art if we choose to give it meaning. From my soul to yours… -Paco ❌ #art #artist #artwork #artlife #originalart
