I added Fortnite to a thrift store painting. As soon as I saw this painting it reminded me of Fortnite. I started by adding the Battle Bus up in the sky with a few players dropping in. Then I added some loot by this tree. First I painted some slurp barrels. Then I added a gold chest. In front of the chest I painted a shield potion. In front of the slurp barrels I painted a medkit and some shotgun shells. Now, let's add the Loot Llama. I went with the classic Loot Llama. I'm going for nostalgia with this painting so a lot of these details are from O.G. Fortnite. Next I painted a fishing barrel with some fishing poles down by the river. I really challenged myself with every little detail. In the water I added a fishing hole. I painted the classic swirl on top of the water. Then I added fish swimming below the surface. Under the bridge I painted a cargo ship. These details were super tiny. Next I added a zipline on the bank of the river. The zipline shoots across to the cargo ship. Then I painted an ascender hanging down the side of the bridge. On the shoreline I painted Peely. This was probably one of the most popular requests in the comments and I just wanna say there's something deeply humiliating about being eliminated by a banana especially when that banana is being controlled by an eight year old savage. Next I painted a sniper glare under the bridge. Just seeing the sniper glare in this painting makes me feel like I'm really playing the game. Then I repainted the entire bridge to look like it's covered in graffiti. I went with a Fortnite style graffiti and I tagged different popular words and slogans from Fortnite lingo. I love how the graffiti changed the whole vibe of this painting. Once I was done tagging the bridge I scraped some of the graffiti away to reveal the wood underneath again. It's the little details like this that really make it look more realistic. Then I repainted the shadows on the bridge and let the cracks in the wood peek back through the graffiti. I almost forgot the speech bubble above Peely's head. I wanted him to be one of the NPCs that you walk up and interact with. Next I painted a flopper jumping up out of the fishing hole in the water. And it's not a Fortnite painting without the remains of a build fight. Then I painted a supply drop landing on the bank to the right of the river. This was another super popular request in the comments and of course I had to add the iconic Reboot Van into this painting. Then on the left shore in the foreground I painted a rift. On the right shore I painted an SMG. Then as a final touch I added a Victory Crown. I know it's just a Fortnite painting but I really poured my heart into this project. This original painting sold out almost immediately but prints of this piece are available at pacoway.com. I've been playing the game for almost 10 years now. It will always have a special place in my heart. Some of my family live in different parts of the country and this game has always been a fun way to bring us all together. This painting will always bring me back to some of my favourite memories. I titled this piece Dropping In and it's okay if you can't afford to make a purchase. Likes & shares are just as valuable!
