I added Fortnite to a thrift store painting. As soon as I saw this old painting in the thrift, it instantly reminded me of Fortnite. I started by adding the battle bus in the sky and behind the bus is a trail of players dropping into the map. I sketched it out with a watered down black and then used my colours to slowly dial in all of the details. I was working with a small area right here with a lot of texture, but I really tried to take my time and get as intricate as possible. Once I was happy with the bus, I decided the skydivers needed a little more detail as well. I couldn't do much cause they were so small, but I added the little trails of color that come off the skydivers in the game. Now let's add some loot by the tree in the foreground. I'm starting by adding some slurp barrels sitting in the overgrowth. A little bit of slurp juice is dripping out of the one that's tipped over and next to the slurp barrels I painted a regular chest. It was honestly a lot of fun imagining all of these different elements in a more painterly style! And floating in front of the chest I painted a shield potion. I really love how the glow around the outer edge came out! Next I painted a classic med mist floating between the slurp barrels and the chest and right next to the Mod Mist is two little shotgun shells. Just these few little additions are already making this painting feel like it's always been a fortnite painting, but I'm just starting to drop into the this piece! Let's add the loot llama grazing on the right in the foreground. I went with the classic regular loot llama. For this painting I was trying to create a blast of nostalgia, so I was adding a lot of the classic elements that I remembered from when I started playing this game. Next I added one of the fishing barrels that were introduced in season 2. I positioned it down closer to the shoreline, I built the barrel one board at a time. Then I added five fishing rods in the barrel and I wrapped the rope around the outer edge. Next to the fishing barrel off in the water I had to add a fishing hole! This painting is already complete. You can see the final product and order prints at pacoway.com, but I wanted to reshare the painting process in detail. This is just the first few things I added to this painting. Like & share for part 2!
