Original caption
Yum Long has SIX dessert dumpling flavors, and I had to show you the chocolate banana ones first! You can also order chocolate strawberry, chocolate mochi, matcha mochi with white chocolate, salted egg custard, and taro. These are steamed dessert dumplings with sweet fillings instead of savory soup! 😍 Can’t decide? There’s a six-piece dessert xiao long bao sampler with assorted flavors so you can try a few. 🥢 This Chinese restaurant in Monterey Park takes inspiration from China’s Jiangnan region, and its chefs bring experience from different Chinese cooking traditions. Freshly made dumplings are a focus, with a full savory menu to enjoy before dessert. A little detail I loved learning: “long” refers to the bamboo basket used to steam and serve xiao long bao, which inspired the restaurant’s name! 🥟 📍 Yum Long
