Here's everything we had for dinner this week. As a married couple who prioritizes eating at home most of the time, but also likes to eat out once or twice a week. This week we ate out three times. So I set a goal for us to only eat out twice this week, and we did meet that goal. Sunday and Monday, Cajun Smoked Sausage Pasta & Garlic Bread. I ate so I set a goal for us to only eat out twice a week, and we did meet that goal. Was back students, getting back into the routine and being exhausted in the evenings. Pasta. Recipe posted earlier for this, so you can go check that out on my page. It was posted earlier this week, so it should be pretty easy to find. I made some garlic bread to go with it. And my husband and I both loved this the first night that we had it. It was so delicious. I reheated it in a pan on the stove for the second night. And it didn't turn out so great. I kind of think that cream based sauces like this just aren't great for leftovers because it ended up being really oily and I'm not sure what I could have done to prevent that. Sometimes when I reheat leftovers like this, I end up adding a little bit more liquid. I didn't do this this time, but maybe if I would have added more heavy cream or something, it would have been better. Tuesday Pizza Takeout (Regretted it). Tuesday Pizza. Honestly, we regretted it. We got takeout from a place close to our house that we honestly don't go to very often. It was really greasy and reminded us why we don't eat there. Wednesday Ground Beef & Rice Green Beans. Night. Ground Beef & Rice. This is a super simple dinner that I almost always have the ingredients for at home. So I love it for an easy weeknight when I don't know what else to make. I've already posted the recipe video for this one too, so you should be able to find that pretty easily on my page. I made some air fryer green beans to go with it. And we ended up eating the leftovers of this for our work lunches the next day. So we didn't have leftovers for dinner. Thursday Fish Sliders French Fries. Dinner. We did have these fish fillets in the freezer and some french fries. We also had a pack of the King's Hawaiian rolls that were in the freezer. Because whenever I buy these rolls, I get them at Sam's Club and they come in a big two pack. So I usually just use one and freeze the other. I ended up throwing together some fish sliders. I used about half a pound of ham. Then I mixed some onion powder with some Dijon mustard in my melted butter to spread on top. I baked these sliders in the oven covered for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Uncovered for 5 minutes at 350 degrees. I also made a super simple dip. I call it gameday dip. Recipe for that. I've already posted the recipe video for that one too. Always make this food. The other half of the King's Hawaiian rolls that I'd used for the fish sliders to make some ham and cheese sliders. I used about half a pound of ham. Then I mixed some onion powder with some Dijon mustard in my melted butter to spread on top. Sliders. I baked these sliders in the oven covered for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Uncovered for 5 minutes at 350 degrees. I always tend to make food like this on Saturdays in the fall because we watch football all day. I'm going to share these recipes with you all season long. So give me a follow to follow along!
