The Wild Daisy
Why it worked
The video uses a satisfying 'reveal' mechanic and a popular DIY aesthetic to showcase a unique, handmade product without feeling like a traditional advertisement.
Summary
The creator demonstrates a DIY-style modification to a green sweatshirt by cutting a square out of the chest and revealing a granny-square quilt patch underneath. The video showcases this handmade item from The Wild Daisy.
Structure
- 1Creator holds scissors to a green sweatshirt
- 2Creator cuts a square out of the chest
- 3Creator reveals the quilt patch underneath
- 4Creator models the finished sweatshirt
Product placement
The Wild Daisy (a) acts: the creator demonstrates a custom-made sweatshirt with a quilt patch, which is the product being sold. Removing the brand name and the specific product would change the video entirely as it is a product showcase.
