It's officially vlog day today. And as you can see, we are long overdue. I have about 3 months worth of new growth underneath this bonnet and my hair is trying. So today isn't just about getting my root straight again. We are putting moisture back into my hair throughout this entire process. And I decided to go with the Mizani Butter Blend for relaxers for sensitive scalp. And this is my first time using this relaxer, but I just cannot resist trying it because I've heard so many good things about it. My hair was divided into four and I did work in sections, starting from the back and working my way to the front. After neutralizing, this is where we really start putting the moisture back in. I plan to use the Kenra moisturizing shampoo and then go in with my Matrix Food for Soft mask for about 30 minutes to deeply hydrate. The Amika Hydro Rush and silicone mix to smooth and soften my strands to prep it for our blowout. Now that the moisture is in and we want to keep it in and keep humidity out. So I'm going in with the ColorWow Dream Coat to seal in that smoothness using my blow dryer on medium heat to properly activate it and keep outside moisture from swelling my strands. And look at that bounce from the blowout alone. I'm going in with the CHI 44 Iron Guard by lightly misting the hair before flat ironing throughout my entire head. These are my results from my moisture focus relaxer day. I've been following this same wash day system since cutting my hair 3 months ago. And seeing how much length I've retained just proves to me that every wash day needs a focus. Hair maybe? Save this for your next wash day.
