First look at the new Casio G-Shock GAC-2500, and this could be one of the most interesting affordable G-Shock releases in a while. Casio has taken the familiar square G-Shock DNA and turned it into a fully analogue watch, with no digital display at all. The new GAC-2500 gets a small-seconds subdial, three-position date display, stopwatch, LED light, hand-shift function, the usual G-Shock shock resistance and 200m water resistance. There are several colourways coming, but this dark version with the small orange accents is probably my favourite so far. It’s already being nicknamed the “CasioNaut” online because of the case shape, although for me this is interesting enough without the comparisons. It’s a new, affordable analogue G-Shock that still looks unmistakably Casio. Expected November 2026.
