Another new G-Shock 2500, and I think this might be one of the most interesting versions in the whole collection. This is the Casio G-Shock GMC-2500-1A8, pairing the new fully analogue 2500 design with a stainless-steel bezel, silver dial and black resin strap. So you get much of the premium look of the full-metal models without all the extra weight. It measures 46.7 × 43.8 × 12.9mm, weighs just 68g, and still gives you proper G-Shock credentials including shock resistance, 200m water resistance, LED illumination and a 30-minute stopwatch. You also get the unusual three-position date display and the new magnetic hand-holding structure that’s become one of the biggest talking points around the new 2500 Series. And visually, I really like this combination. The brushed steel and silver dial make it look far more premium, while the black resin strap keeps it unmistakably G-Shock.
