Mitch McConnell has been absent from the Senate for 85 days while recovering from a serious fall, but he continues receiving his taxpayer-funded Senate salary. Meanwhile, since entering the Senate in 1985, McConnell has voted against creating or expanding paid and unpaid medical and sick leave at least 23 times. There’s nothing wrong with taking time to recover when you’re sick, but the hypocrisy is hard to ignore when the people making these decisions have access to protections that millions of Americans still don’t. #mitchmcconnell #pto #senate #fyp
