Historic Japanese cherry blossom trees in Washington, D.C. are being cut down as part of Trump’s golf course expansion. These trees are part of the more than 3,000 cherry trees Japan gifted to the United States in 1912 as a symbol of friendship between the two countries. Watching a century-old symbol of that friendship be destroyed for a golf course is genuinely heartbreaking. #washingtondc #cherryblossoms #japan #fyp
