The proposed $9,000-a-year benefit for stay-at-home parents is not a guaranteed $750 monthly check, and it comes with eligibility requirements, including marriage, income limits, and a working spouse meeting a minimum work requirement. More importantly, the proposal would draw from the existing Child Care and Development Fund, which currently helps working families about 80% of recipients are single working parents, most of them mothers. Without additional funding, expanding eligibility could mean more families competing for the same limited pool of child-care assistance. This is still a proposal, not an approved benefit, so the details could change. #sahm #prochoice #workingmom #fyp
