UK Airport Chaos Air Traffic Control Failure THERE ARE MAJOR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL ISSUES RIGHT NOW AFFECTING HEATHROW AND GATWICK, EFFECT ON OTHER AIRPORTS ACROSS THE UK. TO GO AGAIN BUT MAJOR DELAYS ARE OBVIOUSLY TAKING PLACE. WITH THIS IS THAT THE PRESS ARE REPORTING MULTIPLE ADVICE WHICH ACTUALLY CONTRADICT EACH OTHER. DON'T GO TO YOU SPOKEN TO YOUR AIRLINE THE STATUS OF THE FLIGHT. GO TO THE AIRPORT AS NORMAL. BUT MY ADVICE IN THESE SITUATIONS, YOU SHOULD HEAD TO THE AIRPORT AS NORMAL FOR BECAUSE YOUR FLIGHT MAY END UP BEING ABSOLUTELY FINE AND TAKE OFF AND IF YOU THE AIRPORT ON TIME, YOU COULD RISK MISSING YOUR FLIGHT. There are major air traffic control issues right now affecting Heathrow and Gatwick, but also having effect on other airports across the UK. If you're flying today or in the next few days, then listen up because this could... so it's all over the press. The issues with Heathrow and Gatwick. So air traffic controls had a technical issue issues with flights. Of course it has, meaning that at lunchtime they had to ground a load of flights and things weren't going. Started getting it a little bit more operational. Flights have started to go again, but major delays are obviously taking place. The worst thing with this is that the press are reporting multiple advice which actually contradict each other. Some are saying don't go to you've spoken to your airline the status of the flight. Some are saying go to the airport as normal. But my advice in these situations, you should head to the airport as normal for because your flight may end up being absolutely fine and take off and if you get to the airport on time, you could risk missing your flight. Just note, if you're flying out of the UK in a couple of days, especially from Heathrow or Gatwick, there can be and probably will be knock-on effects causing delays to happen on a multitude of flights, not just those affected by the air traffic control technical issues today.
