You get a ticket saying “The internet isn’t working.” You run ipconfig and see 169.254.42.17 — what does that tell you? That 169.254.x.x APIPA address is a huge clue. The device likely failed to receive an IPv4 configuration from DHCP. From there, you can start checking the connection, DHCP server, VLAN, and DHCP scope instead of randomly trying fixes. Good troubleshooting is about following the clues. Want more scenarios like this? I’m building ExamWizardz.app to help you practice realistic IT and CompTIA A+ problems before exam day. #IT #HelpDesk #Networking #CompTIA #CompTIAAPlus

ExamWizardz.app ACTS - it is a website that provides practice IT exam questions and study tools. Removing it would change what happens in the video because it is the destination of the call to action. IPConfig ACTS - it is a command-line tool that displays network configuration information. Removing it would change what happens in the video because its output is analyzed to diagnose the problem. Windows 11 APPEARS - it is an operating system. Removing it would not change what happens in the video because it is incidental scenery.
