I'm gonna teach you how to center your clay on the pottery wheel. Take your left elbow, put it in your hip bone, push forward with your left hand. Take your right hand, add some water. Squeeze the two palms together, create a cone. Tilt the cone to the side. Push down. Take this part of your hand, your right hand, kind of just flatten out the top. And now you're ready to center or open your clay.
